Binance Founder Changpeng Zhao Mocks Gold Advocate Peter Schiff Over Bitcoin Predictions

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao reacted to a viral video compilation highlighting 13 years of bearish Bitcoin (BITSTAMP:BTCUSD) forecasts by gold advocate Peter Schiff. Commenting on the video shared on X, Zhao noted that Schiff would eventually be right about the digital asset only after changing his perspective. The three-minute video showcased Schiff labeling Bitcoin as a bubble and predicting it would crash to zero at price levels ranging from $355 in 2013 to above $111,000 in 2025.

Despite Schiff's persistent warnings regarding digital currencies and exchange-traded funds, the final clip of the compilation showed him acknowledging that he could not explain what sustains Bitcoin near $81,800. Bitcoin currently trades around $82,280, up 0.31% on the day. The exchange highlights an ongoing debate between traditional store-of-value investors who favor precious metals like gold and crypto proponents who back blockchain technology.
